“While those who feel fine waltzing into a five-star restaurant in a Hooters T-shirt and flip-flops might disagree, our wardrobe choices absolutely do reflect our personality, character, and judgment. Your clothes are your first means of communicating who you are to the world, and they often speak volumes, whether you like it or not.” Steven Petrow explains business attire, festive attire, and formal attire for the Huffington Post.

A friend of mine did my hair and makeup for my birthday. It was an absolute fashion dream come true for me. Why? I adore vintage/pinup inspired looks.
I also learned how to put on fake eyelashes and used my first eyelash curler. Baby femme is growing up.
I also have to brag about one of my birthday presents: my first pair of Fluevogs. They are insanely comfortable. Seriously. I can stomp around in them all day and my feet never hurt. The Fluevog store in NYC is a dream… I fell in love with about 6 pairs of shoes. They are much pricier than I can really dream of buying for myself right now, but the quality is superb and if you’re going to splurge on shoes, get a pair. Also, if something should happen to your heel, Fluevog can replace them. Win!

As per usual, my Sociology professor looked adorable. This week she was rocking a green khaki safari dress with knee high boots and chunky amber beads. Whenever I try on safari dresses I look somewhat shapeless and utilitarian, but she made it look cute with the boots and feminine necklace. Her red leather (pleather?) bag and raincoat were practical for dreary early spring weather in Cincinnati and carrying around piles of books.

One of my professors has the best style ever. At first, I thought she was cute. Then I realized that the only reason I wanted to undress her was so I could steal her clothes.
Thus, before the quarter ends, I realized I better take some style notes for the future. Thus, I present, “Style from the SOC classroom #1” featuring an adorable 3/4 sleeve rose blazer over a ruffled tuxedo shirt paired with black slacks, pink socks, Saucony sneakers, and some simple jewelry.
This is so pretty. Not sure I could pull it off, let alone paint my nails so intricately. My goal is usually simple: get the paint on the nail, not all over the rest of the finger.
ahhhh shit so hipster
